Guthrie & Craig were originally established in the late 1800’s to provide inspection services for Government Bodies, Authorities and Consulting Engineers on a world-wide basis. The Provision of Management Consultancy and Training services commenced in 1978.
In 1995 the Consultancy and Training Division became autonomous and the present limited Company was formed.
Guthrie & Craig provide a Health, Safety, Quality Assurance, Environmental, & Engineering Consultancy and Training services. This is provided to all sectors of Manufacturing, Construction, Engineering, Landscaping, Fencing and Commercial Industries throughout the UK and overseas.
We have built up a team of Consultants & Trainers who have both theoretical and practical experience in implementation of Quality Assurance, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems, and Engineering services.

With over 14 years experience with ISO Standards and Health & Safety, Neil purchased Guthrie & Craig (Management Services) Limited in October 2011, and has seen the Company grow significantly under his leadership.
Neil learnt his trade working for Brian Robson Associates in 2002-2004 as a Management Consultant, before joining the Metropolitan Police Force in 2004, in which he received a commendation for his response at a murder scene.
In July 2008 Neil made a big decision to leave the Police Force and set up self-employed as a management Consultant specialising in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and Health & Safety.
Neil is the Managing Director of Guthrie & Craig (Management Services) and a Director in both the Engineering and Training Services.
Paul specialises in ISO Standards, OHSAS 18001, RISQS, UVDB, and Health & Safety, coverage a wide range of industries including Construction, Engineering & Manufacturing.
Paul has worked alongside Neil since 2008, and has supported the growth of the Guthrie & Craig during his time with the Company.
Paul also has a real passion for training. He delivers IOSH managing safely, ROLO and a wide variety of in-house awareness courses. Paul is currently developing a nation network of associate trainers to cover a wide range of courses.
Paul is the Managing Director of Guthrie & Craig (Training Services) Limited.
David Brown joined Guthrie & Craig in November 2012, and has over 10 years’ experience working in Engineering. David was previously a Production/ QHSE Manager and has the practical knowledge of implementing requirements of standards in a workable and systematic approach.
David has implemented industry standards such as AS9100, TS16949, API Q1 and TS29001 and has also implemented the more widely recognised standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. David is a qualified welding inspector and has strong knowledge of ASME/AWS/API/NORSOK/ISO engineering and welding standards.
David is the Managing Director of Guthrie & Craig (Engineering Services) Limited.
Phil has over 25 years Health & Safety experience in the Fencing and Landscaping Industry, working with Clients across the UK.
Anne Olley joined Guthrie & Craig in October 2011, following a successful career at Durham University. Anne now primarily specialises in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
With a real passion for detail, Anne has great Auditing skills, and also enjoys working on development of new Management Systems.
Chris Pitchers joined Guthrie and Craig in June 2014 and covers ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 systems and Health and Safety.
Chris studied law at university and gained a LLB (Honours) degree in Law. He also holds a NEBOSH General Certificate and is currently undertaking the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety which he is due to complete in 2017.
Chris is a Technical member of IOSH and Associate member IIRSM.
Colin joined Guthrie & Craig in mid 2016 and specialises in Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety.
Colin joins the team with vast management systems experience, and is a great addition to Guthrie & Craig.
Keith has over 30 years full-time experience in Health & Safety with Local Authorities, Education and Landscaping Industries.
Keith also has a wide range of experience of teaching and training, in particular Nebosh, IOSH, ROLO, and Manual handling.
